5 Ingredient Cherry Crumble
I've really been craving sweets lately. Pie in particular. I put together this cherry crumble with five ingredients. The preparation took about 5 minutes, it baked for about 50 minutes and we ended up with a house that smells amazing and a delicious dessert (or in my case, dinner).
-2 cans of cherry pie filling
-1 box of yellow cake mix
-1 stick of melted butter
-1/8 teaspoon of ginger
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9X13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Open the cans of cherry pie filling and put half of the ginger in each can. Stir each can and then empty the contents of both cans into the baking dish. Zest the lemon over the cherry pie filling. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Evenly pour the juice over the cherry pie mixture and using a fork, swirl the ingredients in the baking dish so that they are combined. Evenly pour and spread the contents of the yellow cake mix box over the top of the cherry pie filling. Drizzle the melted butter on top, trying to cover as much and as evenly as possible. Place in oven and bake for approximately 50-60 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Serve warm (you can serve right out of the oven). I highly recommend putting a couple of scoops of ice cream on top. It doesn't hurt. Enjoy!
